We loved your Best of Wales tour which we took from 19 to 23 October.
Visiting Wales was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment decision for us. We’d never been there before, and we’re so glad we followed our English friend’s advice and chose this tour. The five days were packed with interesting stops, from lovely little towns to abbeys and even a mine. We saw far more than we would have managed on our own in the same amount of time.

A special thank you to our guide, David, who was also our driver and did both jobs brilliantly. He was charming, genuinely friendly, and a wonderfully expressive storyteller with such a pleasant voice. It was a real pleasure listening to him. We loved his choice of music, too, and the way he used both stories and songs to give us a taste of British culture along the way. He made everyone feel at ease, and with such a lovely small group and a comfortable minibus, even the longer drives were enjoyable.

Aberystwyth was a particular highlight, and we loved our hotel there. The weather actually added to the experience. It made the sea and the coastline feel all the more dramatic and atmospheric.

We’d happily recommend this tour to anyone visiting Wales for the first time. Thank you for such a memorable trip!

We went on 5-days small group tour "The Best of Wales tour from London" this September. It was 15 of us and David, our driver/tour guide. All group members enjoyed the trip which covered Wales history, culture, and beautiful nature. David went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy, he paid sincere attention to our accommodations, suggested the best restorant on our stops, had good knowledge about the places we visit, and about British culture and music. Being jazz singer he gave us unique possibility listen to songs he likes and sings. Travel was in a 16-seat minibus with pretty comfortable sits. David's driving was superb on small tiny country roads we traveled. Wales nature, sea shores and small towns were absolutely stunning, peacefull and romantic, castles are amazing and great to climb. Trip schedule, places and stops were very well organized. We would highly recommend this trip for people who want to learn more about history and culture of Great Britain.

I have just completed the 5 days Best of Wales tour from London with Go Tours, and it was a wonderful experience for me from beginning to end.The itinerary was very good and very well planned. We visited different variety of places like castles, national parks, beautiful seaside towns, Big Pit National Coal Museum, St Davids Cathedral, Cardiff, St Fagans and many other beautiful places. What I particularly liked was the pace of the tour. We had enough time at each stop to enjoy the places rather than constantly feeling rushed. There was also plenty of time for meals, coffee and exploring the places on our own. Everything went according to the itinerary on the webpage including our return to London at around 6 pm on the final day. The minibus was clean and comfortable, we were all strangers when the tour began but everyone got along wonderfully. Our driver and guide David deserves a special mention. He was very kind, helpful and extremely professional. He was an excellent driver, he shared about Welsh history, geography, culture, language, etymology , literature and music a lot, and brought the places we visited to life with his knowledge and stories. He played some wonderful music for us and introduced us to Dylan Thomas's poetry. English is not my native language and I am not familiar with British accent but I had no problem in understanding when David was talking. He was also very attentive throughout the tour. He regularly checked if we were happy and that everything was fine with our hotels,the places we visited etc, he helped us orient at the stops, and gave us good recommendations for restaurants, cafés and shops. It was very clear that he really enjoys his work and takes pride in giving his guests a good experience. Several years ago, I attended Go Tours' Cotswolds day tour and David was our guide then as well. He mentioned the Wales tour during that trip, and I had wanted to do it since that time, as in my country tour companies organise tours to different parts of UK but unfortunately there are no tours to Wales. This year I finally had the opportunity to join the Best of Wales tour of Go Tours and happily David was our guide again. I enjoyed both the places we visited and the way the whole tour was organised. Everything was punctual, well coordinated and stress-free, while still leaving enough freedom and time to enjoy Wales at our own pace. The hotels were nice and clean, two of them being spa hotels at the seaside. The rooms were spacious, clean and were equipped with a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board and iron. Breakfast was included and had wide selection of food and beverage. Thank you to Go Tours for such a well-organised and enjoyable trip, and to David for making the five days interesting, comfortable and memorable. Ekin.

I had a wonderful 5 day tour of Wales with Go Tours. Our driver was Claire and she was very knowledgeable, keeping us entertained from the morning until the evening with facts and stories about Wales. She had a great playlist as well to keep us singing along while she wasn’t talking. The hotels we stayed in were comfortable and in good locations and the breakfast was enough to keep you full until lunchtime. My favorite was the hotel in Aberystwyth- it was right on the coast and my room looked out over the Irish Sea. I kept my window open and listened to the sound of the waves all night long.
The stops we made were a good variety and length. I wish we could have had more time as there are so many lovely villages and old castles to keep you entertained for a much longer period of time. Claire surprised us a few times with additional stops as our group was always back at the bus early so we were running ahead of schedule every day. I do not have any complaints about the tour at all. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Go Tours for a fabulous Welsh vacation.

The 5 day Best of Wales was a wonderful tour. It was small and we covered a lot of ground, but also didn't feel like we were driving for too long. We had plenty of time in each town/area to explore the sites, castles, abbeys, taste the food, see the culture, enjoy walks etc. Len was a wonderful guide for us. We'd love to book with GoTours again!

Fantastic trip. We saw so much in just 5 days. Everything was great, but it was made better by our guide -Claire. She is an excellent guide who gave interesting commentary throughout the trip. She also is an excellent driver! Thank you Go Tours and Claire

David took us on a most beautiful and informative tour of Wales; with it's vast wild beauty and historical coal mining past that left us in awe of the tenacity of it's people.

I was on the 5-day tour through Wales last week and really enjoyed it. Go Tours UK did a fantastic job of choosing incredibly beautiful spots and places to visit. The accommodations were well chosen as well, with wonderful rooms and delicious breakfast.
Our tour guide Claire was fantastic and helpful all week long. She is a very skilled driver und told us a lot of interesting facts about Welsh history and culture. Because we travelled only in a very small group, she even showed us some bonus places.
I only wish we could have stayed longer in New Quay or St Davids to hop on a boat tour to see dolphins or puffins up close. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic tour and we were lucky enough to see some dolphins in the bay.
It was my second trip with Go Tours UK and I will definitely book another tour next year. It was worth every penny and I am glad to have booked with them again.

Just returned from Wales and one of the highlights was this incredible tour with Go Tours. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and I really appreciated the small group size of tours that Go Tours specializes in. Definitely interested in booking Go Tours in the future for my next vacation adventures.

Steve, our guide, was informative of history, culture, geography, and Welsh language. One of the best tours we have enjoyed. Diverse experiences from Coal mines, to lots of sheep sightings, castles, to the Irish sea. Accommodations and food were great. The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend.

We went on The Best of Wales Tour from London. It was amazing! The van was very nice just a 16 seater so not overcrowded. The ride was smooth and the views from every window was amazing. David our driver was outstanding. As he had been doing this for years he was very knowledgeable and professional he played great music and also had a joke or 2. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and can't say enough about the locations we passed through and the hotels we stayed in. You really must experience it for yourself. Tenby was the best!! I would book another Go Tour anytime. Extra shoutout to David who after almost 3 weeks after the trip found an item I lost!! <3

Our guide Liam was excellent, professional, friendly and was great all rounder - a key factor in success of our tour. Tour travel mates were easy to get along with. We enjoyed the tour and also got a better understanding of Wales history. We also enjoyed music and poems (yes!) arranged by Liam.

I just finished my Best of Wales trip with David as our driver and I can not say enough great things about the guide and this trip. As a solo traveler I was deciding between this Trip Advisor highly rated tour and another well known operator of the same size.The advantages of Go Tours for this trip to Wales are: 1. You get to see more of Wales, Cardiff, Big Pit (Coal Mining heritage) and Brecon Beacons. Seeing Big Pit and this area is a must to understand the heart and history of wales. Add to that seeing the capitol city and the farmland of Brecon makes the week and scenery more varied and interesting. 2. I was worried about the hotels since you couldn’t choose but my rooms were great. Charming and with sea views! What I thought added to the trip was that all 9 of us (3 solo 3 couples of varying ages) stayed at the same place. This let people connect easily if they wanted to for dinner/breakfast and get to know each other better than being dropped off at different hotels like the other competitor. Each day was well thought out with just the right amount of stops, time and distance. I never felt rushed. So the tour overall is great. As far as David he is the perfect Ambassador to Wales. Being an actor and musician he loves both “Words” and “Music” the 2 very things that define this country. He gives you Wales history and much more with a great sound track and a lot of good (English) humor along the way. I think because he is a Performer he is used to giving his ALL knowing that this tour will end & then the next round of tourists will come and he’ll do it ALL again. Just like in a production.
