A Perfect Day

Our guide, Chris S, did an outstanding job from the moment we arrived until he had us safely back to our drop off point. He was professional, friendly, very helpful, and an amazing driver. He even gave us the proper coins for the restroom facilities in one of the villages that did not accept cards.
The tour was perfect! We were on a small, 16 passenger van, not on a mega bus, which made traveling so much more personal and easier to accomplish. We were able to explore four of the most charming villages in the Costwolds while learning about their history. I highly recommend this tour with this company.

Chris coming to the rescue and giving you some of his coins for the toilet was a nice gesture. It’s lovely to hear you enjoyed the more personal feel of travelling in a small group and had such a great day exploring the four villages. Thanks for the recommendation. Best, Maya

Great

Great day out, would highly recommend. Small group size was perfect. Mini van was brand new, with air conditioning & USB and USB-C chargers. Our lovely driver Claire was great, giving us lots of interesting facts throughout the drive. Best of all was the free time in 4 local villages, plenty of opportunities for snacks & toilet stops. Public toilets need coins (otherwise buy a coffee in a cafe). Around 1pm we stopped at Bourton on the Water for lunch. Wifi in the carpark was ok, but very little in the village, so you may want to research your lunch spot in advance. Overall it was a great day out & I really enjoyed it.

Hi Emily, lovely to hear you enjoyed the small-group experience and having plenty of time to explore each village for yourself. Claire will be pleased to know her facts and stories kept the journey interesting too. Best, Maya

An amazing experience

A very well-organized tour from start to finish. Everything was perfectly arranged, and our guide, Len, was amazing—helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the beauty of the Cotswolds in one day without the hassle of renting a car or figuring out transportation between the different villages.

It's lovely to hear everything ran smoothly and that Len looked after you so well. I'm glad the tour made exploring the Cotswolds easy and an amazing experience. Best, Maya

Cotswolds Day Trip from London

Our one day Cotswolds Tour from London was really good. A small group tour of sixteen in a comfortable mini bus highlighted four Cotswold locations: Burford, Bibury, Bourton on the Water, and Stow-on-Wold. All locations were very different and it was a comfortable and well paced guided tour with plenty of time to spend browsing shops or exploring the sights, or trying the regional food offerings. Our guide Sean did a great job, laying out what lay ahead during the day, telling the stories behind the locations and pointing out various options at each stop so that we could decide what we wanted to do at the locations before moving on.

Highly recommended tour and a great option to get out of London for the day especially when you have limited time. Many thanks again Sean for a good day.

Great to hear you had a really good day exploring the Cotswolds with Sean. I'm glad the pace gave you plenty of time to enjoy each village, and that Sean’s stories and recommendations helped you make the most of every stop. Thanks for the recommendation
Best, Maya

Great trip to the Cotswolds

Except for the fact that it was a bank holiday AND the hottest day in several years it was great! Dave was an excellent guide! At each town he told us best things to see in the time allotted. He shared his singing talent with us which was beautiful!!
The air conditioning on the bus was not working well which made it pretty miserable on such a hot day 😩.

Insiders View of the Cotswolds

Martin, the owner, lives in the Cotswolds so we felt like we got to see some "out of the way" places. He also had a good History knowledge with a bit of humor. Right amount of explore on your own time as well. Comfortable Mercedes bus/van, so yes Id highly recommend.

An Unforgettable Cotswolds Experience (With Kevin)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’re looking for a tour that truly exceeds expectations, look no further. The Cotswolds is one of England’s most enchanting regions — a dreamy landscape of rolling green hills, honey-stone villages, ancient churches, and winding country lanes that feel like they belong in a storybook. But as beautiful as the destination is, the experience of exploring it is only as good as the person guiding you through it. And that is where this tour truly shines.
From the moment we set off, it was clear this was going to be something special — and that’s entirely thanks to our exceptional guide, Kevin. Professional, punctual, and incredibly reliable, Kevin arrived prepared for every detail of the day, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. There was never a moment of uncertainty or disorganization — just seamless, well-paced exploration.
What truly sets Kevin apart, however, is the depth of his knowledge. He doesn’t just point out landmarks; he tells their stories. Every village, hidden path, and scenic viewpoint came alive through his expert commentary, peppered with fascinating history, local insider tips, and recommendations you simply wouldn’t find in any guidebook.
And if all that weren’t enough — he’s genuinely funny. The kind of humor that keeps the whole group smiling and creates a warm, convivial atmosphere that makes the hours fly by effortlessly.
If you are planning a visit to the Cotswolds, do not hesitate. Book through GetYourGuide or Gotours Explore Britain, and if you can, specifically request Kevin. Highly, highly recommended — you will not be disappointed!

Great day in the Cotswolds

We had a wonderful day in the Cotswolds with Liam as our guide and driver. The small towns where we stopped were very beautiful, and the views along the drive were just as stunning. Liam was a very knowledgeable guide, as well as a safe driver, and he was attentive to us throughout the tour. He also played a lot of great music.

We have been on many tours all over the world, and Liam is right at the top as one of the best guides we’ve had. He truly made it a great day. The other tourists on the bus were also a lovely group.

One of the best guides you've had in all your travels worldwide? That's absolutely incredible praise for Liam, and he'll be thrilled to read this. The music, the safe driving, the attentiveness, and a lovely group to share the day with - sounds like everything came together perfectly. Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a generous review!
Best, James

Beautiful cities, and amazing Londoner guide, Liam.

My mom and I went on this tour and absolutely loved it! Not only were the sites beautiful, but our tour guide, Liam, made the whole experience even better with his history knowledge and humour. Not to mention, he was a gentleman helping everyone off the bus, and provided great insight into any questions we had related to the UK.

Great ride through the Cotswolds.

Our day trip through the Coswalds was the perfect blend of fun and ease. Driver Chris S. made us feel right at home, sparking great conversations and sharing thoughtful insights along the way. With smooth start-and-stop locations, comfortable Sprinter bus accommodations, and a fantastic music selection, my wife, daughter, and I soaked in every memorable, scenic moment together.

Perfect Day Trip!

This was a perfect tour for me. We left on time, bus was small, very relaxed. Our driver, James, gave us great information and history about each town we visited. He was knowledgeable, friendly and a great driver. I especially enjoyed the “no hassle” and ease of the trip. The stops were just long enough. I had good food and tea along the way, saw magical countryside, wildlife (even 2 alpaca hanging out in a yard) and beautiful houses. Barbara put together a super playlist of British artists which was definitely a fun touch! All in all, it was a perfect day! Thank you!

Thanks for joining me on this Cotswolds adventure.
Barbara.

Great day out!

We had a fantastic experience on the Small-Group Cotswolds Tour from London. The maximum size for each tour is 16 as we were traveling in a small coach.

Our guide, Christian, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of every place we visited and brought each location to life with his stories. Listening to him as he drove felt like tuning into a personal podcast. He was engaging, informative, and never dull. His history stories were especially interesting. If he were a history teacher, kids will fall in love with the subject!

The whole day was smooth, well-paced, and truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Great Tour! Great Guide - Ask for Ash.

My wife and I brought our daughter on this tour, and we all really loved it. It was cold and rainy, but that was to be expected for England in February. Having a small bus made all of the difference. Ash, the tour guide, was really great. Very gregarious and fun to talk with, he was very engaging and provided really great information for each of the stops. Ash was very attentive. He not only told us where to get the best pictures, but he was often there to take the picture for us. His play list was spot on - it was like he somehow got the play list from my wife or my phones.

This tour involved a lot of time driving between the stops, and Ash made the ride fun. He answered questions, engaged in friendly conversation, and provided a wealth of jokes and stories about the sites we were seeing.

The stops in each of the villages were long enough to walk around, see the village, take some pictures, and get a quick snack, a cup of tea/coffee, or lunch. It is not a guided tour -- you walk on your own. But, Ash gave us enough information and each village was small enough, that we didn't really need a guide. And, as noted, Ash was around and available if you needed more info.

The villages were really beautiful. It was like stepping back to a simpler time, when life moved more liesurely. The architecture was magical. Everything was so green. Even with the cold rain, it was still a beautiful place to walk around.

Between the time of year we went, and the fact that we were on a small bus (actually, more of a large van), there weren't any real crowds, and this really enhanced the experience. You felt like you were just walking around a quaint town, rather than having to push your way through a over-crowded tourist trap.

The tour cost a bit over $100 US per person, but it was really worth it. Keep in mind, you are on a small, comfortable van, so it feels much more personal. Ash had to spend an entire day driving us from London, then village to village, and back to London, so the tour company has to spend a lot on fuel and tolls. Plus, you get to walk around 4 of the villages, all without any real crowds. And, as noted, Ash was a really great guide -- the kind of person you would enjoy just meeting at the pub and spending a few hours taklking and drinking with.

Overall, this was a great experience, and we will definitely book more tours with GoTours when we return to England. Hopefully, Ash will be the guide.

February rain and all — sounds like Ash made it a great day out. Really glad the small group and those magical villages delivered. Cheers, James

A truly memorable Cotswolds experience

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Cotswolds day tour from London with GOtours – Explore Britain. Our driver and guide, Tony, was fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great stories that really brought the places we visited to life. The itinerary was well organized, the scenery was stunning, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We truly enjoyed every moment of the trip, and it will remain a lifelong memory for us. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience outside London!

A trip worth taking

We met at a coffee shop before boarding a clean, comfortable coach van. Our driver, Chris S., shared interesting and informative details about the area as we traveled. We visited four charming villages, although Arlington Row felt a bit unnecessary.

In Bourton-on-the-Water, I had a great sandwich at Fresh for Lunch, the Peri Peri sandwich is an excellent choice if you enjoy mild spice. Others in our group ate at The Den, which offers an extensive gluten-free selection. Stow-on-the-Wold was perfect for antique browsing, and Burford had excellent shopping.

Overall, the experience was wonderful and flew by far too quickly. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting London or the surrounding area.

Dear Hue,
Glad the day flew by in the best possible way! Thanks for the review.
Cheers, James

Did my research and this was a fabulous choice.

Wonderful trip. Ash was a great guide with lots of information and insights and recommendations that were especially useful and much appreciated. Good guy and very familiar with the area and fun to have as a guide with witty comments and true insider information. Forget the big bus tours to the Cotswolds. This is without a doubt the better way to go. Was a really good day and the highlight of our week in London.
