Nigel our driver/guide was amazing, entertaining and informative. The locations were perfect and I had a brilliant day
A brilliant day in the Cotswolds is exactly what we like to hear. Nigel has a real passion for the places we visit, so it’s lovely to know his stories and personality added to your day. Best, Maya
We loved our tour. Our driver/tour guide Rob was great. His driving skills on the skinny roads was amazing!!! All the stops were great, our B&BS were very nice. Id highly recommend this tour!!!
I'm glad you had a brilliant five days with Rob. He certainly knows his way around those skinny country roads, so it’s lovely to hear you felt in good hands and enjoyed the stops and B&Bs along the way. Best, Maya
Our guide, Chris S, did an outstanding job from the moment we arrived until he had us safely back to our drop off point. He was professional, friendly, very helpful, and an amazing driver. He even gave us the proper coins for the restroom facilities in one of the villages that did not accept cards.
The tour was perfect! We were on a small, 16 passenger van, not on a mega bus, which made traveling so much more personal and easier to accomplish. We were able to explore four of the most charming villages in the Costwolds while learning about their history. I highly recommend this tour with this company.
Chris coming to the rescue and giving you some of his coins for the toilet was a nice gesture. It’s lovely to hear you enjoyed the more personal feel of travelling in a small group and had such a great day exploring the four villages. Thanks for the recommendation. Best, Maya
Great trip, learned a lot. The only disappointment was the St Ives stop. They dropped us off by a beach. Could not find the shops to look around in. Maybe find a better drop off so that more people can enjoy the culture. Rob was a great driver.
I'm glad you enjoyed the trip and felt in good hands with Rob. Our drop-off point in St Ives is chosen based on where our minibuses can safely and practically access it, as some of the roads are pedestrian-only. We appreciate your feedback and understand you would have liked to be closer to the centre. Best, Maya
A really great day out in Cotswolds with Dave our driver. We visited four lovely villages and while entering the villages and on the Road Dave gave very interesting historical facts. He had a good planning which gave us enough time to explore these beautiful locations. All in all we really recommend this trip!
It sounds like Dave got the balance just right between sharing the history and giving you plenty of time to explore on your own. Thanks for the recommendation, and I'm glad you had such a great day in the Cotswolds. Best, Maya
We thoroughly enjoyed our day spent touring the Cotswolds Region with our tour guide Nigel. We appreciated how he so eloquently shared his wealth of knowledge and helpful insights. Such a pleasant, stress free experience.
Hi Kim, I'm glad that Nigel gave you the relaxed Cotswolds day you were hoping for. His knowledge of the area really shines through, so it’s lovely to hear you enjoyed all the little insights he shared along the way. Best, Maya
Jason was fantastic! Very well informed and very friendly! Small group so was easy to get around. Loved all the villages and Stonehenge. Highly recommend.
Hi Barbara, the small groups certainly make exploring these beautiful places a bit easier. Jason will be pleased to hear you enjoyed the day, from the Cotswold villages right through to Stonehenge. Best, Maya
A wonderful day in the Cotswolds, visiting four villages with their unique charm , all had something different to see. Plenty of time to wander and soak up the atmosphere, lots of options for food and treats .The meeting and commencement point was very easy to access from our base in Paddington , the mini bus was comfortable and clean . A highly recommended day tour
The itinerary was great for a day tour and our guide, James, shared with us a range of information that helped us to appreciate the history and interesting facts about each place.
This excursion was top notch and the guide -Kevin- was excellent!! Everything about it was well organized and comfortable. Kevin gave us insights and additional information along the way. We visited four Cotswolds villages and had time (never enough) to explore on our own with suggestions from Kevin about what to see, where to eat etc. I highly recommend this tour company!!
Four villages is a great way to get a taste of the Cotswolds, although we know it can leave you wanting more. Kevin will be pleased to hear his tips and local knowledge helped you make the most of each stop. Best, Maya
Nigel was the best! He is knowledgeable about the tour and the history as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour
Thanks for your kind words about Nigel. I'm glad his knowledge of the area and its history added to such an enjoyable day. Best, Maya
Sean our driver and tour guide had an incredible amount of knowledge about every where we visited. It was a fantastic day, especially the stones at Avebury where we could walk around and touch them. I would highly recommend this tour.
Getting to walk amongst the stones at Avebury is such a special part of the day. I'm glad Sean’s knowledge helped bring the history of all the places you visited to life. Best, Maya
Nigel, the best tour guide ever! Very kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He gave us excellent advice during the tour and for our stay in London. And furthermore, he didn't leave anyone behind, not even the slowest ones! We hope to find you again on a future tour! Thank you very much.
It’s lovely to hear how well Nigel looked after everyone throughout the day, making sure the whole group felt included and taken care of. I'll be sure to pass on your kind words. Thanks for the recommendation. Best, Maya
First off, we are not bus tour people. That said, we had a wonderful time. Our driver Len was wonderful and we really enjoyed the itinerary. The accommodations were good too. My main goal was to go to Port Issac in Cornwall. It was featured in the television show Doc Martin. It was great and we had a great tour by a local gentleman that was an extra in the show many times. All in all I highly recommend this tour.
It's always nice to win over someone who isn’t usually a bus tour person. I'm glad you enjoyed the five days with Len and that Port Isaac lived up to expectations as the highlight you’d been looking forward to. Thanks for joining us. Best, Maya
Our trip to the Cotswolds was great from start to finish! Everything with Go Tours went very smoothly and our guide Kevin was so well versed and funny. He made sure we were all informed of what was coming up next and gave us such interesting facts all along the way. The bus was also quite comfortable. I would definitely recommend this tour.
This was a really nice tour just get out and see the Cotswolds for a day. Kevin was a great tour guide and driver - funny, and full of info and suggestions! The bus was very clean and comfortable. Although time was limited due to how long it takes to get there, I would love to have more time in Bilbury. We would highly recommend this tour if you have a day to get out and see the countryside.
Our tours are designed to give you a taste of the Cotswolds, but we can understand wanting to stay longer in the beautiful villages. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and that Kevin made the journey there entertaining, too. Best, Maya
Wonderful experience yesterday. We visited four spots in the Cotswolds with a very good guide David. He explained English history very well, guided carefully and was very nice and polite to us all. I would recommend the company and the guide.
Delivered as promised. Enjoyed the great guide [Sean] amazing sites and a comfortable ride. Five star from pickup to Dropoff!
Five stars from pickup to drop-off is exactly what I like to hear. Sean will be pleased to know he helped make the day such a great one. Best, Maya
Kevin was a wonderful tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, very engaging and fun to visit with. He took us on the roads less traveled so we could see the real English countryside. The Cotswolds were beautiful and better than the travel guides say. This was a wonderful experience!
Kevin will love hearing your kind words. That’s one of the benefits of our small group tours, the minibus can take the smaller country roads that larger coaches simply can’t reach. Best, Maya
Our driver, Dave, was welcoming, attentive, helpful, patient (even when I messed up...), very punctual, fun, and full of information and anecdotes, both about the scheduled stops (well-chosen and with adequate time available for visiting and relaxing) and about what we saw or encountered along the way. He also chose a couple of alternative roads to show us sites of particular interest and provided practical advice (for example, on where to find restrooms or the best places for lunch or a snack). Even though upon waking up I would have preferred a slightly later departure, the chosen time allowed us to visit Castle Combe with fewer crowds and more tranquility than usual.
Dave certainly sounds like he kept everyone well looked after throughout the day. The early start is worth it when you get to enjoy Castle Combe before the crowds arrive, so I'm glad the timing worked out well for you. Best, Maya
A super nice day trip, well organized. Meeting point easy to find. Our guide Liam told us many interesting details and was always concerned that everyone was doing well. Great tips on where to eat well. Bus driver got us through the narrowest alleys very safely. Thanks for the wonderful day!
It sounds like Liam looked after everyone brilliantly, right down to the all-important food recommendations. I'm glad the day ran smoothly and you enjoyed exploring with us. Best, Maya
Very informative and 4 each uniquely beautiful stops. Castle Combe is tiny and the first stop which keeps crowds to a minimum. Stow is next and has an excellent pet store. Plan for lunch at Bourton on the Water - be aware that by the time you arrive it is midday and has crowds but it is the least photogenic of the stops, though the inside of the church has an amazing ceiling. Last stop was Bibury is the “nature” stop with not only the views but the trout farm. My only suggestion is they should get a laminated clock to show the return time as at our last stop, due to language issues, one guest was 30 minutes late - confusing quarter til and quarter past.
Sounds like you made the most of all four villages; each has something different to offer. I'm glad you enjoyed exploring the Cotswolds with Dave and appreciated his knowledge along the way. Best, Maya
We had a fabulous tour of the beautiful countryside and visits to four darling, quaint villages! Our tour guide/driver, Tony, was awesome - provided great info, stories, historical background, and communication on times to meet and places to see in each stop. Highly recommend this tour and tour guide!
Four Cotswold villages and views of the countryside sounds like a Sunday well spent. Tony will be pleased to hear his stories and recommendations helped you make the most of each stop. Best, Maya
A great tour with a wonderful guide, Len. He drove amazingly along narrow leafy lanes and his history stories were fabulous. Len is the ultimate tour driver- patient and kind to everyone while being well organised.
Beautiful B&B in Falmouth-full of charm with a great view of the beach.
My second 5 day tour with Go Tours ( as well as several day trips)and I’m looking forward to next one!
Hi Lois, lovely to have you travelling with us again. It sounds like Len looked after everyone brilliantly, and we’re glad you enjoyed your stay in Falmouth too. Hopefully we’ll see you on tour number three in the future. Best, Maya
We enjoyed the tour, but it was felt too rushed. I think I would’ve preferred to see fewer villages and really get to spend more time in one or two because there are so many great little shops, churches, and historical sites to see, There wasn’t really time to sit down and enjoy lunch or even a cup of tea. Everywhere was so crowded, which is certainly not the tour’s fault, it’s ours for choosing to visit in August! The crowds just made everything take longer. While we did like seeing the villages, perhaps driving through a few of the smaller places without a stop with a bit of narrative so we could really spend 2-3 hours in one place would have been my preference. Obviously that’s just my opinion. That said, our driver/guide Tony was great - definitely five+ stars. He was very knowledgeable, offered lots of information and local lore, shared funny stories, played fun British music, and made it a very pleasant day. The coach was very comfortable and the trip was easy.
