Great guiding and driving by Len, and a great tour. A couple of improvement suggestions:
Some stops should last longer, espesially St.Michael’s mount, Lands End and Stonehenge. Suggest you put all on the same hotel (drop the b&b opportunity) so that the folks in the group more get aquainted. The air condition in the bus need upgrade to handle the really hot days.
Kai and Anne
Dear Kai and Anne, thank you for joining us! Len is brilliant and we're really pleased you had such a good time. Thanks for the suggestions too. On the stop durations, the itinerary is always a balance between fitting in the highlights and giving enough time at each one. We appreciate wanting longer at places like St Michael's Mount and Stonehenge though, and it's useful feedback. On the accommodation, we offer both hotel and B&B options so guests can choose what suits them best. Some people love the character of a local B&B while others prefer the consistency of a hotel. Either way, we find the group bonds brilliantly over the five days regardless. On the aircon, we had an unprecedented heatwave and have already looked into the issue and got it fixed. Thanks for taking the time to share all of this. James
Kevin was our guide and he did an excellent job on the tour of explaining what to see and the logistics of getting around. Could have spent more time in each place as always, but was adequate to see what we came to see. Cotswolds villages were lovely and Stonehenge was amazing. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour. Good value for the tour price. The van was comfortable and the size of our group was just right.
Sean was our guide and did an excellent job! We were all able to ask questions and he was able to provide all of the answers. It was a great experience with a lot of history thrown in.
Really enjoyed our small tour. Bus was a perfect size not too big and really enjoyed seeing the little towns of Cotswolds
Recommend this tour absolutely
We went on the small group cotswel trip. It was lovely. A great amuse bouche to the area. We will have to return and stay longer. Our guide was Nigel. He was absolutely wonderful. He had a play list that matched with our journey and was reflective of UK artists. He was very knowledgeable and had wonderful stories. If you have Nigel your day is set!
We really enjoyed this day trip to the Cotswolds with driver/guide Nigel.
We visited on a late spring weekday and did not experience the traffic jams and heaving crowds that apparently blight the region on weekends and summer holidays, making for a very relaxed day with ample time at each location to take photos, eat and shop, depending on what the village had to offer.
Nigel was everything you’d want in a travel guide: enthusiastic, engaging, entertaining, and knowledgeable. Our drive was a mixture of history, anecdotes, and a curated musical playlist.
This was a great way for a couple of Aussies to experience a slice of English history and countryside.
Really lovely tour. Had the best time listening to all the interesting things about the Cotswolds. It's supposed to be a hook for a longer tour so keep that in mind. You do see a few interesting points so it's worth it for me.
The Clarkson’s Farm tour was excellent. It was exactly as described and it was a lot of fun to see all the locations from the show. Chris S was the guide and he was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job getting us from place to place on the tour and kept us informed the whole trip. I would highly recommend the tour.
Our guide was Jenny, who did an excellent job of drivings us around and showing us sites at stops. She had excellent knowledge of the areas we were traveling thru. She answered most questions great and had that great accent that US citizens enjoy .
Thank you for the kind words, however did you mean to leave us a one star review?
I took this day trip on 05/29 with Tony leaving from South Kensington Tube Station. I thoroughly enjoyed my day. Tony provided interesting info en route and a list of places to visit at each stop. He was very friendly, played wonderful background music, and was very knowledgeable about all the villages we visited. I look forward to taking another tour with him on my next trip to London.
we had an enjoyable 4 day tour of Wales with our excellent guide Steve and trainee guide Liam. Steve is a very experienced tour guide and provided very detailed information on the various locations we visited and introduced us to the Welsh language and its history. The countryside was stunning and the tour included a good mix of history, museums and local attractions.
Steve also provided recommendations for restaurants, cafes etc in all locations.
As often in the UK the weather was a bit changeable which meant some modifications to the scheduled trip but these were always discussed with the group beforehand and an alternative option presented.
The bus was comfortable, extremely clean and Steve was very accomodation in dropping us off in Cardiff so that we could catch a bus for our onward trip
Steve is a brilliant guide and it's great to hear Liam is learning from one of the best. Changeable weather in Wales is practically guaranteed, but the fact that Steve discussed alternatives with the group rather than just making the call himself is exactly how it should be done. Really pleased you enjoyed the four days and that Steve could sort the Cardiff drop-off for you. Thanks for taking the time to share this. James.
Nigel is a terrific guide- wonderful British humor, relevant musical playlist , super knowledgeable and even took us to extra places! He made The Cotswolds come alive!!
This tour was excellent and a very good value for the cost. Our driver and guide Steve was amazing. He shared historical knowledge of the sites we visited interspersed with music by Welsh and UK artists, provided information about the local area we were staying in each evening, and was always pleasant and attentive. Highly recommended.
Hi Debra, thanks for joining us. Steve's mix of Welsh history and regional music is a brilliant way to experience the country. The evening tips on the local area are a nice touch too, makes such a difference when you're somewhere new. Really pleased it felt like good value. Hope to see you again soon. James.
This was the absolute best way to see the southwestern part of England. Our driver, Rob, was so easy going, friendly and knowledgeable about every stop along the way. The hotels rooms were spacious and well appointed, and the breakfasts had a variety of choices. We saw things we never would have thought about on our own, or been able to in a big coach. I highly recommend booking with this company - you’ll be well taken care of and get excellent value for your money!
Hi Lorraine. Seeing things you'd never have found on your own is what it's all about for us. Rob knows exactly where to take people and those hidden spots are always the ones that stick with you. Really pleased the hotels delivered too. Thanks so much for the kind words and the recommendation. James.
We visited during the May heatwave of 2026. Our guide, Nigel was fantastic and a conplete delight - from his amazing playlists ( loved loved loved his 80s/early 90s selections) , interesting historical summary of the area, funny anecdotes and super human parking skills, he was absolutely the best guide ! I deducted a star mainly do to the check-in procedure and the god awful passenger van- the slightly rude check-in person at our initial meeting place kept telling me to wait just a sec, went to talk to random people and never came back to check my party in, resulting in our being the last to board. Not a problem, however when we finally boarded I was wedged in a four person wide backseat with three other random people and I and the person next to me could not sit without turning our upper bodies slightly so our arms were in the middle of our torsos. Not at all acceptable for a 90 minute ride, especially on the way back. The seats are just too small to accommodate four regular sized forward -facing people. Seating needs to be dealt with differently. Other than being completely uncomfortable during the ride to and from, the four villages were charming. Super crowded, as expected, but Nigel filled us in on the best of each of the villages so we were able to see so much and get great photos. To recap, although Nigel was the best guide, unless the tour company handles seating differently, Id be hesitant to book this tour. For what you pay, you deserve to be able to sit comfortably and not stuffed like a twisted sardine.
Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed review. Nigel will enjoy reading you loved his 80s/90s playlist and his superhuman parking ability.
On the check-in, our team do need to be a little direct at that point because our priority is getting everyone away on time. We ask people to check in when their full group is ready so we can seat them together. Perhaps it came across the wrong way, but there's a good reason behind it. On the seating, the vast majority of our reviews highlight how comfortable and clean our executive minibuses are, but we do appreciate the back row is a little tighter. It's a deliberate trade-off though. Smaller vehicles mean smaller groups, and that means we can take you down those narrow Cotswolds lanes where the bigger buses simply can't go. That's what sets the experience apart. We hope to see you on one of tours again soon. James.
Except for the fact that it was a bank holiday AND the hottest day in several years it was great! Dave was an excellent guide! At each town he told us best things to see in the time allotted. He shared his singing talent with us which was beautiful!!
The air conditioning on the bus was not working well which made it pretty miserable on such a hot day 😩.
Wonderful tour led by Nigel. We went to four villages with a couple of short but awesome detours along the way. Nigel was clever, helpful, caring, and funny. It made the day so fun.
It was an incredible tour. My girlfriend got the opportunity to visit Brighton which she hadn't been before and for us it was the first time visiting the Seven Sisters.
Really pleased you had such a great time and we'd love to have you back on another tour soon. Thanks for the feedback. Best, James
I recently traveled with a group of 14 to London, Cornwall, the Cotswolds, and Bath with Go Tours. Our tour guide, Dave, was exceptional -- knowledgeable and entertaining. He was also an expert driver, considering many of the roads were mostly drivable in a single lane (passing being a challenge). The countryside in this part of England is beautiful and well worth seeing. I will be signing up with this travel outfit in the near future - - I had a wonderful time!
Really pleased you had such a great time and we'd love to have you back on another tour soon. Thanks for the feedback. Best, James
Well planned tour from Bath. Bill was a great guide, informative and fun. We visited several towns, including a lunch break.
Our Tour Guide, Nigel, was tremendous. His deep knowledge, clever commentary and fantastic playlist made for an entertaining, informative and highly enjoyable trip. Highly recommend!
This was a really great trip. The bus from and to the Cotswolds from London was a bit long, but that's not the operator's fault! I would definitely travel with Go Tours, if you don' have access to y our own car. The only criticism I would throw out is that we were handed a QR code at the beginning of the tour and I could NEVER get it to scan. Now that I'm home, I've been able to scan it on my phone and copy the link to my computer in order to see what was on the link. It would have been EXTREMELY helpful to have the link, in addition to the QR code. There is a LOT of information on the website and I would have loved the maps and restaurant suggestions! Also, a lot of walking. Wish I had brought my walking sticks. But the tour itself, was lovely.
Great driver but short on guiding. Left us on our own with the minimum of information. No maps, no advice about lunch and put us out in Lincoln in a driving rain storm.
Lots to see but only 90 minutes on average per stop to see it. Minimum 6 hours a day riding.
All the sites were wonderful. Especially York and the Lake District.
Our B and B in Windermere only served cold breakfast I don’t think you should use them again. The owners wife is not well.
Len came to our rescue and got us breakfast in the other B & B. We really like him but the tour needs to provide more professional support
Thanks for the detailed feedback. We usually do provide maps and information for each stop, so I'll look into why you didn't have these on your tour.
Our tours are designed around self-exploration, giving you the freedom to see places at your own pace. But we appreciate it's not for everyone. Really glad Len stepped in and sorted the breakfast situation for you. We appreciate you taking the time to share all of this. It helps us improve.
Best, James
The Clarkson's Farm Tour is an excellent choice for any Jeremy Clarkson fans. Our two Clarkson fans were excited to shop in the Diddly Sqat Farm Shop and visit The Grand Tour tent. Even the wife and girlfriend who accompanied them enjoyed the trip with the beautiful views and sampling the beer and cider. Great tour!
Love that even the non-fans had a great time. The Cotswolds countryside, beer and cider have a way of winning people over regardless. Glad the Clarkson fans got their fix at Diddly Squat and the Grand Tour tent too. Thanks for joining us. James.
