It was my honor to to take the very first Harry Potter Filming Locations Tour by Go Tours UK on October 1, 2026. Claire, the guide/driver, is VERY knowledgable about the cast, filming, special effects, etc. involved in making the first Harry Potter movie. Spoiler alert - Claire was part of the crew! She is lively and full of fascinating facts about Harry Potter and the general history of the locations. Oxford is magical on its own, and the Harry Potter connection adds another layer of delight. Similarly, Lacock is very charming. I was thrilled to see the town center of 'Godrics' Hollow' and 'Slughorn's House', as depicted in the Potter movies, among other sights. I enjoyed the tour immensely, and highly recommend it!!

Amazing tour. Chris S was amazing,driver extraordinaire, funny, helpful, just made the tour that much better. Great itinerary, wasn’t too rushed, lots of spare time to enjoy. Small group, so very friendly and sad to say goodbye on day 5.
This tour with Christian surpassed my expectations. Thank you. For those of you considering Go UK tours, here are a few differences from other small group tours I have taken:
- You are on your own for lunch and dinner everyday. Unless you make an effort you won’t get to know the other folks (most socializing happens at meals). Also, you need to add the cost of the meals to the tour cost.
- Go UK does NOT provide tours at the locations. You are on your own (with one exception - we paid for a tour of Port Isaac). Your Driver will provide you with lots of info as they drive but s/he stays in the van while you see the sites.
- You handle your own luggage. This is good if you don’t want to have to put your suitcase outside your hotel room at 7am. Bad if you don’t want to carry your stuff - sometimes up and down stairs.
Due to these factors I consider Go UK tours to provide bare-bones tours. My Partner and I were very happy with it, but you should consider your own travel style
I’m glad the tour with Christian surpassed your expectations and that you enjoyed the five days with us. We like to give guests plenty of freedom along the way, whether that’s exploring each stop at your own pace or choosing where you’d like to eat. Before the tour, we also email guests with various attraction options and their costs, so they have plenty of ideas for how to spend their free time. It’s a more independent style of small-group touring, and I’m pleased it worked well for you both. Best, Maya
The tour guide and travel was all fine but The Cotswolds overall didn’t meet my expectations. I thought there would be more of a quaint village feel but it felt more like a congested tourist trap. There were a few interesting historical things but not much.
I appreciate that the Cotswolds weren’t quite what you had pictured. The villages are very popular with visitors and the Brits, so they can feel much livelier. I’m glad the driver-guide and journey still worked well for you. Best, Maya
